The UNP has decided to boycott today's Temple Trees function to celebrate the "Cultural diversity of the Commonwealth to mark the Sinhala and Tamil New year" in protest against the government action which, the Opposition says, runs counter to democracy and good governance, that it was bound to uphold as Chair in Office.
